Preschool

Well, this was a big week for us. Isabella started Preschool!
I don't know how excited she really was about this change...she will miss her cousins...but she was super excited about her new backpack. She dragged it or wore it all around the house this past weekend! I think she likes it so much because it is like her big bubba's (of course his is not pink or purple)!
They were both singing and laughing all the way to school.

It's been fun having her in the car with us for a little longer ride because it has allowed me to watch the two of them interact more. Anthony is a pretty sweet big brother, that is when he sits still long enough to pay attention to her.
This was Anthony's PreK school and the staff here have always been so kind and caring. They reached out to us after hearing the news of Daddy's Cancer Battle. So when the opportunity came that Isabella could attend I felt it was the right thing to do.  We continue to be blessed by
God through so many thoughtful and caring acts of those around us. We will be forever grateful for His mercy.

Spring Break: Live Stock Show

We had a great time at the Houston Live Stock Show.
We went with some of our cousins and family friends.
There were tons of baby animals and
we discovered the Farmers Market for kids.
It was a neat experience.
Next year Anthony is wanting to do it all...
the live stock, carnival and rodeo!

Spring Break 2011:Part 1

It's Spring Break and we have had fun.
On Saturday, we walked over to the park and played a little.
Then, Anthony practiced riding his bike.
Finally, we enjoyed some ice cream from the
special delivery truck!

One Year Ago Today

Dario Christopherson
September 13, 1971-March 1, 2010

This picture was taken in March of 2009 and it is one of my favorites of Dario. We had gotten Anthony tickets to a Houston Rocket's Game and we had a blast as a family. Since I took this picture, Dario is looking at me. I feel his love and affection coming through every time I look at it and it is very comforting to me. Dario was a loving husband and a wonderful daddy. We miss him dearly and today is a tough day but...overall we are doing very well.

I took this snap shot last night. Isa is giving big brother a big hug before going to bed. Isa is almost 18 months and Anthony is 6 years old. They are my gifts from above. I am so thankful to be their mommy!

Again I have to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support and love. We have been so blessed by our family, our friends and many more. I have learned that it is important to show care and concern for each person you interact with throughout each day (which can be hard to do everyday, all day) but...you never know what they are going through and how much a smile, a hug or a word of encouragement could mean to them at that moment, on that day. Thank you for all that you do to encourage us...especially your prayers.

February 13th, 1998

Thirteen years ago today, Dario and I were engaged. I truly feel honored to have been his wife. What a blessing he was in my life. Because of him I am the mom that I am today of our two precious children. I thank God for my family and am trying my best to fully trust Him with it all~yesterday, today and forever.

Thank you for your continued prayers for each of us.

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas together surrounded by our family and friends.  We had Candle Light Service at our church before heading to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We had a great time with our family laughing, eating, sharing gifts with each other. One of the greatest gifts was the safe arrival of my niece and her husband driving in that evening from California through the down-pour! We are so happy to have them here for a little bit.
Christmas morning we woke up to share a few gifts from each other. Anthony was so sweet to Isabella. He carried on a tradition that a friend helped Daddy start last year, getting Isabella a charm for her bracelet. Daddy picked a special little ladybug for his little lady and this year Anthony choose a cute little turtle because he thought it was the best charm for her.
After the gifts, it was time to play! Isabella thought that if Anthony could play basketball on his new goal then she could show him a few moves of her own!

Well, it was a different kind of Christmas this year mixed lots of feelings and some of the old things we did with Daddy and some of new things just for the three of us. God proved His love for us by the strength, love and hope that he filled us with each day. We HOPE you had a wonderful time and wish you well in 2011.

Merry Christmas!

We want to wish each of you and your families a very merry Christmas!
Thank you for your continued prayers for us as we walk this journey as a family of three. Even though we continue to miss daddy very much each day we are able to walk with such strength. We give God the glory for all He has provided-including our family and friends like you!
